Mar is eol daoibh, is maith liom cait, agus is minic iad luaite agam, ar bhealach amháin nó ar bhealach eile, i mo bhlagmhíreanna. Ar aon nós, gan súil ar bith agam leis an ábhar a bhí faoi chaibidil ar an gclár raidió s'aige inné, tharla sé gur chuala mé Moncrieffe ar Newstalk, áit a raibh sé ag labhairt le Pam Johnson-Bennet, saineolái ar iompraíocht an chait, faoi na 101 to cat behaviour and understanding it, mar a thuigtear iad, is dócha.
Bhuel, tuigim go maith go bhfuil sibh ann, a léitheoirí, agus is cuma sa tsioc libh faoi chait, agus gurbh fhearr libh madraí, b'fhéidir. Tuigim é sin, mar is maith liom féin chuile ainmhí. Go deimhin, tá madraí againn féin anseo i gCeann Scríbe, ach is é an gáire a baineadh asam inné, chan ainmhithe, ábhar an bhlag seo, creid é ná creid.
Bhí láithreoir an chláir, Seán Moncrieff, ag labhairt leis an saineolaí, Pam, agus seo mar a chuaigh an chuid sin den chomhrá a bhain gáire asam (04.16 anseo):
Seán: '...would it be your suspicion that, really, dogs are kinda stupider than cats?'
Pam: 'Oh, absolutely not. No, and I could never get away with saying that because I have a dog and, boy, I'd have to pay for that later...I think they are both the same.
Seán: 'Okay, but if your dog and your cat were playing chess, and we had to bet on who was going to win...come on, we'd both bet on the cat.
Pam: 'I'd bet on the cat in a lot of instances, but I tell you, if my dog and my cat are playing chess, I'm putting that on YouTube tomorrow...'

An-fhreagra é sin! :) Tá mé féin ag ceapadh go mbeadh eolas ní b'fhearr ag an madadh ar an gcluife, ach is dócha gur ag an gcat a bheadh an bua sa deireadh, mar gheall air go n-imreodh sé cleas eicínt ar an madadh...
Gan dabht ar bith, a Indrek!
Bhainfeadh rud éigin intinn an mhadra den chluiche, ach ní bhogfadh an cat, cheapfainn, go mbeadh an bua bainte aige..;-)
